Hockey Central in Sylvan Lake

Just pulled in there at 5:45 on a Saturday night it's an NFL playoff day ... Hockey Night in Canada night... World Juniors going on... And I pull into the parking lot and look and every screen has tennis on..... needless to say this is another restaurant in this building that will be shutting down soon I'm sure....tennis...really....I used to come here a lot and the place used to be not too bad last couple of times I have, it sucks they will not get my business anymore

The only real sport lounge in Sylvan (ideal for drinks and obviously hockey))

Food was okay pretty expensive considering the quality and thought they took forever!! Would definitely go to a Canadian brewhouse over this place!!

Terrible food. Never eating there again. I think the cook lost the lid off his salt shaker. Slow service too.

Great place for beers and excellent food. Had the small Ukrainian platter it was awesome. Will go again.

Atmosphere is nice. Service was absolutely terrible. It was not an overly busy night and our waitress was more interested in standing at the bar visiting. Food was decent. But service terrible! Not sure I'd ever go back

Food is usually consistently good prices are high but it is the best sit down restaurant in sylvan.

Usually busy. Good food and a decent selection of beer. Good place to watch the game. Check out their sports memorabilia room. Lots of cool things for sale.

Pretty lousy service and the food wasn't much to write home about. It was a dead afternoon with a few tables in total and our server was basically a ghost. I asked twice for the sound for the hockey game (being called hockey central and all) but we sat there through 2 periods and she never turned it on. I wouldn't go back.

He staff are great. My usual server Karen is at the table just enough to keep the drinks fresh and she's always friendly. It's a great spot that our team likes going to after our hockey games.

Kristi and her team are awesome! The servers are friendly and personable. They are also happy to accommodate allergies. A huge plus is that our toddler is welcome in this establishment. The chef definitely knows what’s up in the kitchen. The burger patties are homemade and delicious and the beef deep... oh, the beef dip, yumminess all around. Our experience at Hockey Central is always a pleasant one. Glad to have this gem in town!

The Rueben sandwich was ok but the onions rings were terrible. Burnt and dried out. Should not have been served at all. The server replaced them and the second batch was fine.

I had butter chicken yesterday at this location. The chicken and sauce tasted very old. I didn't finish my meal as it was terrible.

Always a good time. Great food, drink/beer menu, and lots of TV's with the popular sporting events always on. Kitchen is open late.

Not impressed,went there for supper with my family, our shrimp appetizer had a dark hair on it, service was not as good as usual, waitresses this night seemed to be more content goofing around behind the bar, 3 in total.When it was time to pay the appetizer was taken off our bill and off course the waitress was friendlier at this point expectations of a tip which my son in law did give even tho not deserved ! There is nothing worse then going to a restaurant where the waitresses play their sweetest when its time to pay, especially when you've requested more of a condiment and your meal is pretty much gone before they bring it ! Sad part is that it was a Tuesday night and not busy !

Love the food here, I have not had a bad meal yet. The menu seems to change sometimes and that can be good or bad if they take something of the menu you like. I love the big game screen TV, it covers a whole wall and is great for watching games. Many other TVs to catch most hockey and all sports.

Food came cold and not fresh at all . They did remake our meals but it took along time and still one of the items needed to be reheated again . Not sure how fresh the food was and the prices are quite high for what you get .

This was one of the coolest sports bars that I have ever visited.. The staff was super cool, efficient and kind.. The owner even took time out of her busy schedule to come over and say hello.. The food was divine, atmosphere was super chill, the memorabilia was very exciting, they also give you the opportunity to purchase some of the memorabilia from their merchandise center next door.. All around cool and entertaining places..

First visit - had beef dip and watched the end of a game. Enjoyed the pool table. Pretty quiet tonight but thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Used to have karaoke there I didn't mind going on a Thursday night but it wasn't that great

We ordered takeout from there tonight and I recommended this place as I had done takeout while the place was only doing takeout & delivery. Now that people can dine in, I wouldn't expect the meal quality to go down, but it appears that it has. The burgers were good. The chicken fingers as well, but the chicken finger meal size was way smaller than last time I ordered. The amount of fries in each meal was lacking as well. (last ordered a bunch of times in April) You wouldn't think that things would change this quick, but it appears that it has. Struggling to make ends meet and doing only take out or delivery, the meals were all great each time I ordered there. You would think that business would keep operating the same as it was during shutdown to ensure customers keep coming back especially during difficult times like we're in. I won't be back here which is too bad. Sylvan is such a tough place for restaraunts as very few of them in town can offer consistency each and every time.

Over priced food and have had several bad steaks my grandparents quit going her due to wasting money on a steak thats chewy or tough. wing night is good pool is $1.25 no minors aloud to play games.
